Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: June 2025. This policy defines permitted and prohibited uses of the DocImprint API and services, operated by Sawftware LLC. Use of DocImprint constitutes acceptance of these rules in addition to our Terms of Service.

Permitted uses

  • Extracting, analyzing, and verifying documents you own or have rights to process.
  • Building applications, agents, and workflows that integrate the DocImprint API.
  • Automated, programmatic access within your plan's rate limits.
  • Reselling access to your own end users as part of a value-added product, provided you agree to our terms and ensure your users comply with this policy.

Prohibited uses

You may not use DocImprint to:

  • Process unauthorized content — submit documents you do not have the legal right to process, including copyrighted material, confidential data belonging to others, or personal data collected without consent.
  • Violate laws or regulations — use the service in any manner that violates applicable local, national, or international law, including privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA), export controls, or sanctions regulations.
  • Circumvent access controls — bypass, probe, or attempt to defeat authentication, rate limiting, billing mechanisms, or any other access control system.
  • Abuse or disrupt the service — send requests designed to degrade performance for other users, including intentional flood attacks, scraping beyond permitted rate limits, or exploiting API behavior.
  • Submit malicious content — upload files containing malware, exploits, or content designed to compromise our systems or other users.
  • Fraudulent payments — manipulate, replay, or fabricate x402 payment signatures or Stripe billing events.
  • Misrepresent AI output — present AI-extracted content as verified fact without human review, particularly in legal, medical, or financial contexts where errors could cause harm.
  • Generate illegal content — use the service in connection with CSAM, harassment, defamation, or any other illegal content.

Enforcement

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to any account that violates this policy, with or without prior notice depending on severity. Serious violations — including illegal activity, fraud, or deliberate abuse — may be reported to law enforcement.

We may also throttle, rate-limit, or restrict accounts whose usage patterns suggest automated abuse, even if individual requests appear legitimate.

Reporting violations

If you become aware of a violation of this policy, please contact us at info@docimprint.com. For security vulnerabilities, see our Security page.

Reporting abuse

Report abuse, policy violations, or malicious use to legal@docimprint.com. Include URLs processed, API key prefix (first 12 characters), and timestamps when available.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of DocImprint after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
